Piercings

Like art on a canvas -
Once empty and new -
These beautifully harsh silvers
Have been attatched to
Me. The metallic fibres glint, glimmer
Against the rising sun,
Portraying to untruth
What, with my life, I have done.

They can become frosty orbs,
Or lukewarm - they match my entirety
To the finest detail, utter my life
In the truest tale.
These beautiful works of art
Become what I am, in
My mood, temperature, stance
In life. They match the words on
My heart.

I am decorated in an expression of myself,
Who I am, what I mean...
These piercings are quite simply
More than they seem.

I figured... I love piercings so much, why don't I write a poem about them?

I think this expresses why I love them so much.

ps. I didn't take the picture.

I don't know. They're painful to look at.
